A ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND FIVE POUND NOTE AUTOGRAPHED BY JACK NICKLAUS serial number JWN0394023, with signed letter stating that the £5 note was signed by Jack Nicklaus at East Lake on the occasion of Bobby Jones 75th Anniversary of his Grand Slam
The Royal Bank of Scotland issued a special commemorative £5 note to honour Nicklaus. The note as you can see from the illustration bears his image. The note was produced in recognition of his Open Championship victories and apart from Queen Elizabeth II and the late Queen Mother, Nicklaus is the only other living person ever to appear on a Scottish banknote. The notes went into circulation on July 14th 2005, which was the first day of Nicklaus's 38th and last Open Championship appearance. From research only very few were personally signed by Jack Nicklaus.
