The above silks were worn by Frankie Dettori in a race meeting at Newmarket circa 2004/5 and were won by the vendor in a Channel 4 Morning Line competition

A 1948 OLYMPIC TORCH

the bowl with pierced Olympics Rings and inscribed XIVth, Olympiad 1948, Olympiad to London, With Thanks to The Bearer, with gas recipient, aluminium, with possible later alterations to handle, 16.1/2in. (42cm) high

The above torch was used in one of the sea crossing and was won by the vendors grandfather in a draw/raffle at the end of the crossing

half title inscribed; "A la Comtesse Henry de Baillet Latour. Hommage de l'auteur, Paul de Borman, Bruxelles, le 10 Octobre 1909", 77 pages plus tables and advertisements at end, text in French, contemporary limp calf gilt, (extremities slightly rubbed)

Lawn tennis did not become fashionable in France or Belgium until 1920-1915, and this work was therefore published at an early stage in the development of the French game.

With bookplate of Elis Alex de Baillet-Latour. Comte Henry de la Baillet-Latour was president of the International Olympic Committee from 1925 to 1942
